1. What can I do today to prepare for an upcoming high-demand offering?

There are three things you can do today to prepare:

  • [Click here to set up your Investing Entity today .] Your Investing Entity specifies how you intend to hold your investment (e.g. as an individual, jointly with your spouse, through an LLC or trust, etc.) and is a requirement for submitting an offer. Taking a few minutes to set it up now will save you time on the day that the offering opens for investment.

  • Carefully review the offering documents that you will be signing to invest in the offering. Once the investment period starts, investors who complete their documents soonest will be granted access to the final funding step, while investors who complete their documents later risk being waitlisted once all of the equity available in this offering has been allocated. All of the offering documents are available now on the offering detail page (located in the righthand panel), so that you can complete your due diligence prior to the investment period opening.

  • Sign up for the offering webinar. You will find the link to register for the webinar on the offering detail page. Attending the live webinar is not required to invest, but it is highly recommended, as many investors tell us that the webinar is one of the most important elements of their due diligence process -- plus, the investment period opens midway through the webinar, so if you are already logged on, there's no way you can miss your chance to submit your offer.

2. What can I do on the day the offering opens for investment?

Be prepared to submit your offer as soon as the gold "Invest Now" button becomes available, 30 minutes after the webinar starts. The exact time will always be highlighted on the offering detail page. If you are logged onto the live webinar, be sure to open the CrowdStreet site in another browser tab, and navigate to the offering detail page, so that you will be ready at the appropriate time. At the moment when the investment period opens, that page will automatically refresh to display the gold "Invest Now" button.

3. What are the next steps after I have submitted my offer?

Please monitor your email inbox closely for instructions on each subsequent step. You will receive an email indicating that your offer has been pre-approved, prompting you to complete documents via DocuSign and then provide an accredited investor verification letter. [This article] outlines the steps required to complete investment process. Please note that once you complete documents or the verification step, it can take 24 hours to review and approve your documents, and they will be reviewed in the order in which they were submitted. The last step for you to complete is to fund your offer by initiating a transfer to the sponsor. If the offering is expected to fund quickly, be sure to send your funds via wire, as the alternatives of ACH and mail will take considerably longer to reach the sponsor and risk your funds needing to be returned if they arrive after the offering was fully funded. Ultimately, all investments are finalized on a first-to-fund basis.

4. Can I complete the accreditation verification step now?

No -- unfortunately with the way our platform is currently configured, we do not have the ability for investors to submit accreditation verification letters outside of the standard order of our investment process. Investors who wish to use our free integration with VerifyInvestor must wait until they submit their first offer and complete their closing documents -- at that point, they will be invited to use VerifyInvestor. Investors who wish to submit a letter prepared by a qualified third party (i.e. CPA, attorney, or broker-dealer) are welcome to obtain this letter in advance, and then upload it at this same step in the investment process. A more detailed explanation of the accredited investor verification process is available [here].
