Can international, foreign or non-US citizens invest on CrowdStreet?

To invest on the CrowdStreet Marketplace, you must meet the following requirements.

Individual and Joint Account requirements:

  • Be a U.S. Citizen or Resident Alien with a valid green card.
  • Have a Social Security Number or a U.S. Government-issued Tax ID Number (EIN).
  • Primary residence must be within one of the 50 U.S. states or Washington D.C. At this time we are not able to accept residents of U.S. territories.
  • Meet accreditation requirements.
  • Provide valid government-issued documentation and identifiable information to complete applicable anti-money laundering (“AML”) and know your client (“KYC”) checks.

Entity requirements:

  • Be taxed in the U.S. as a corporation (but not be a disregarded entity).
  • Have a U.S. taxpayer ID.
  • Address of entity must be within one of the 50 U.S. states or Washington D.C.
  • Bank of draw must be within one of the 50 U.S. states.
  • Meet accreditation requirements.
  • Provide entity documentation.
  • Provide proof of residential address for all directors, officers, and majority shareholders.
  • Provide valid government-issued documentation and identifiable information to complete applicable anti-money laundering (“AML”), know your customer (“KYC”) and know your business (“KYB”) checks.

Please note that once these minimum requirements are met, accounts are subject to review and approval by CrowdStreet and offers are subject to sponsor approval.
