Can I invest with my 401k?

The answer is: it depends. Since 401ks would generally be subject to ERISA regulations/IRS prohibited transaction rules, sponsors might accept 401k funds for offers. However, sometimes they don’t. It will depend on the offering. Unfortunately, CrowdStreet cannot make the determination of whether an investor can invest in a particular offering as it relates to retirement plans.

The investor should contact their financial advisor, tax advisor, and attorney, and should also get insight from the sponsor as to whether they will accept it.
